Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Sunfire and 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the drive belt tensioner.

    Important:  In order to obtain the proper torque when using any torque wrench adapter you must use the following formula: Pre-set Torque = Torque Wrench Length x Torque Desired divided by Torque Wrench Length + Extension Length.

  2. Install the drive belt tensioner bolt. Use a J 45025 Torque Wrench Adapter  to tighten the drive belt tensioner bolt. Tighten the drive belt tensioner bolt to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
  3. Install the drive belt.
