Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Sunfire and 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Lubricate the inside diameter of the bearing with GM P/N 12345777, or equivalent.
  2. Install the following components to the transmission:
    • The clutch actuator cylinder
    • The bolts.

      Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb. in). 

      See Figure.

  3. Install the upper line release bolt. See Figure.
  4. Install the transmission. Refer to TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT .
  5. Connect the clutch actuator cylinder line. See Figure.
  6. Bleed the hydraulic system. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch Bleeding .
