Removal Procedure

If equipped with an automatic transmission, remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to EXHAUST MANIFOLD REMOVAL .
Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (L61) .
Remove the thermostat housing to water pump feed pipe bolts.
Remove the thermostat housing to water pump feed pipe.

Remove the thermostat.
