Cylinder Head - Installation

Tools Required: J 36660-A Torque Angle Meter

Install the cylinder head gasket to the block.
Important: Do not use any sealing material.
Install the cylinder head.
Lightly apply clean engine oil to the threads and the bottom side of the flange of the head bolt and allow the oil to drain before installing.

Install the tighten the cylinder head bolts in sequence.

Tighten bolts 1-8 to 65 N.m (40 ft lbs).
Tighten bolts 9 and 10 to 40 N.m (30 ft lbs).
Then turn all the bolts an additional 90 degrees in sequence, using the J 36660-A .
