Oil Pan - Installation

- Apply a 5 mm (0.193 in) diameter bead of GM P/N United States 12346286, GM P/N Canada 10953472, or equivalent, to the oil pan side sealing flanges.
- Apply GM P/N United States 12346286, GM P/N Canada 10953472, or equivalent, to the oil pan surface that contacts the engine front cover.
- Install a new oil pan rear seal. Apply a small amount of GM P/N United States 12346286, GM P/N Canada 10953472, or equivalent, to the oil pan rear seal ears.
- Install the oil pan.
- Install the oil pan nuts. Tighten the oil pan nuts to 10 N.m (89 in lbs).
- Install the oil pan bolts. Tighten the oil pan bolts to 10 N.m (89 in lbs).
