Engine Flywheel - Installation

- Install the flywheel.
- Install the flywheel spacer, if a flywheel spacer is used.
Important: You must thoroughly remove the old thread adhesive from the flywheel bolts and bolt holes. Use a round nylon bristle brush in order to remove the old adhesive.
Apply GM P/N United States 12345493, GM P/N Canada 10953488, or equivalent, to all flywheel bolts. Carefully follow the instructions that are included with the thread locking compound in order to ensure that the bolts are retained properly.
- Install the flywheel bolts. Tighten the flywheel bolts to 75 N.m (55 ft lbs).
