Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - Rear: Installation

  1. For 2002, install the hub and bearing assembly. Position the top rear attaching bolt in the hub and bearing assembly prior to the installation in the axle assembly. Tighten the hub and bearing to axle bolts to 60 N.m (44 lb ft).
  2. For 2003, install the hub and bearing assembly to the axle in the axle assembly. Install the hub and bearing assembly bolts. Tighten the hub and bearing to axle bolts to 60 N.m (44 lb ft).
  3. Connect the rear ABS wheel speed sensor wire connector. Install the brake drum. Refer to BRAKE DRUM in DISC BRAKES & DRUM BRAKES . Install the tire and wheel assemblies. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in TIRES AND WHEELS. Lower the vehicle.
