Removal (Non-ABS)

- Disconnect the caliper and wheel cylinder brake pipes from the proportioning valve assembly. See Fig 1 .
- Cap or plug the brake pipe ends to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
- Disconnect the master cylinder brake pipes from the proportioning valve assembly. See Fig 1 .
- Cap or plug the brake pipe ends to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
- Remove the master cylinder mounting nuts. See Fig 2 .
- Remove the proportioning valve assembly from the vehicle. If the proportioning valve is to be reused, plug the brake pipe openings to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
