Removal (Second Design)

  1. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum check valve from the brake booster.
  2. If the vacuum check valve needs to be separated from the vacuum hose, release and reposition the clamp on the vacuum hose and remove the check valve from the hose.
  3. If replacing the vacuum check valve, remove the grommet from the brake booster and discard the grommet.
  4. If replacing the vacuum hose, release the vacuum hose connector retainer, then disconnect the connector from the vacuum port on the engine intake manifold. Take note of the vacuum hose routing, then remove the vacuum hose from the vehicle.
