Removal (First Design)

  1. If replacing the vacuum check valve and/or the upper vacuum hose, disconnect the vacuum check valve from the brake booster.
  2. If the vacuum check valve needs to be separated from the upper vacuum hose, release and reposition the clamp on the vacuum hose, and remove the valve from the hose.
  3. If replacing the vacuum check valve, remove the grommet from the brake booster and discard the grommet.
  4. Release and reposition the clamp on the upper vacuum hose, and remove the vacuum hose from the lower vacuum hose and pipe assembly.
  5. If replacing the lower vacuum hose and pipe assembly, release the vacuum hose connector retainer, then remove the connector from the vacuum port on the intake manifold.
  6. Remove the lower vacuum hose and pipe assembly retaining nut, and remove the assembly.
