DTC B2965: Key In Ignition Fault: Description

Ignition key alarm switch closes (signal circuit low) when ignition key is in ignition and opens (signal circuit high) when ignition key is not in ignition. Body Control Module (BCM) monitors key in ignition signal to determine if key is in ignition and to activate warning. DTC B2965 will set if ignition "0" voltage circuit is active (high signal) and ignition key in ignition signal circuit is high for more than 0.3 seconds. DTC B2965 will clear when BCM receives a clear code command from scan tool, or after 100 ignition cycles with fault no longer existing.
