DTC P0449: EVAP Canister Vent Solenoid Valve Control Circuit: Description

Ignition voltage is supplied directly to Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister vent valve. Powertrain Control Module controls EVAP vent valve by grounding control circuit via an internal switch called a driver. The primary function of the driver is to supply ground for controlled component. PCM monitors status of the driver.
