DTC P0443: Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Purge Solenoid Control Circuit: Description

Ignition voltage is supplied directly to Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) purge solenoid. Powertrain Control Module (PCM) controls EVAP purge solenoid by grounding the control circuit via an internal switch called a driver. Primary function of the driver is to supply ground for the controlled component. PCM monitors status of the driver.
