Check for poor connections/terminal tension at CKP sensor. Check for excessive timing gear/chain movement, excessive distributor drive backlash, damaged crankshaft reluctor wheel or for improper installation. Check engine front cover assembly for damage or sensor coming in contact with reluctor wheel. Check if engine is running out of fuel.

On manual transmission vehicles, this DTC will set if crankshaft rotates backward such as when engine stalls when on an incline and vehicle rolls backward while in gear.

On all models, excessive crankshaft end play can cause reluctor wheel and CKP sensor to become misaligned. If excessive crankshaft end play is present, engine may not start, start and stall or have erratic performance.
