DTC P0106: Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Out Of Range: Description

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor measures pressure changes within intake manifold to indicate engine load. MAP sensor is mounted at rear of intake manifold. MAP sensor has a 5-volt reference circuit, ground and a signal circuit.

MAP sensor voltage (depending on altitude) can range from 1.0-1.5 volts at idle (high vacuum) to 4.0-4.9 volts at wide open throttle (low vacuum). When Powertrain Control Module (PCM) senses a signal voltage less than .10 volt for more than 4 seconds, DTC will set.
