Removal & Installation

  1. With column fully extended, remove key from ignition. Using a small screwdriver, release locking tab from tilt lever handle. Pull tilt lever handle straight out from steering column. Remove driver knee bolster trim panel. Remove 2 Torx head screws from lower shroud.
  2. Separate lower shroud retaining tabs from steering column close out shroud. Remove retaining straps for telescoping actuator switch wiring harness. Disconnect telescoping actuator switch wiring harness connector. From inside lower shroud, push out telescoping actuator switch and wiring harness. To install, reverse removal procedure.
