Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Firebird and 2002 Chevrolet Camaro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install a new stud. Insert the wheel stud from the back side of the wheel hub and bearing (2).

  2. Install 4 flat washers (3) on the wheel stud.
  3. Install the wheel nut (1) with the flat side toward the washers (3)
  4. Tighten the nut until the wheel stud is properly seated in the wheel hub flange (2).
  5. Remove the nut (1) and washers (3).
  6. Install the rotor. Refer to FRONT BRAKE ROTOR .
  7. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels .
  8. Lower the vehicle.
