Circuit Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Pontiac Firebird, 2000 Chevrolet Corvette, and 2000 Chevrolet Camaro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The cruise control brake switch is a normally closed switch. When brake switch is closed (pedal released), PCM senses ignition voltage on the cruise control brake switch signal circuit. DTC will set when PCM senses a voltage on switch signal circuit when switch should be open and condition is present fro 1.5 seconds.
