Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the lower intake manifold. Refer Intake Manifold Replacement - Lower .
  2. Remove the valve rocker arms and the pushrods. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement .
  3. Loosen the valve lifter guide bolts.
  4. Remove the valve lifter guide.
  5. Remove the valve lifters.
