Removal (Bank 2)

  1. Bank 2 is the cylinder head that is closest to the front of engine compartment. Turn ignition off. Remove the 2 mounting nuts from the injector sight shield (top engine cover). Lift the injector sight shield off the mounting studs by lifting at the front of the cover. Disconnect the bank 2 Ignition Control Module (ICM) electrical connector.
  2. Remove the push in retainers securing the upper filler panel to the vehicle. Remove the upper filler panel from the vehicle. Using the removal sequence, remove the ignition cassette retaining bolts. See Figure. Carefully remove the ignition cassette. Remove ignition coil(s) from ignition cassette as necessary.
