Secondary Air Injection Pump: Removal

  1. The Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump is located underneath left front of vehicle. See Figure. Raise the vehicle. Remove the retaining screws from the front portion of the left front wheelwell/splash shield. Lower the splash shield far enough to gain access to the AIR pump assembly.
  2. Loosen and lower the AIR outlet hose pinch clamp. Remove the AIR inlet hose from the AIR pump. Disconnect the AIR pump electrical connector. Remove the upper AIR pump to cradle bolt. Lift up and pull out to remove the AIR pump from the cradle bracket.
