Secondary Air Injection Crossover Pipe/Hose: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Cadillac Seville and 2003 Cadillac DeVille. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the retaining screws from the front portion of the left front wheel well/splash shield. Lower the splash shield far enough to gain access to the Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump. Remove the retaining clamp from the pump crossover hose. See Figure.
  2. Remove the ties retaining the AIR crossover pipe to the engine cradle. Loosen and lower the pinch clamp connecting the AIR crossover pipe/hose to the bank 1 intermediate pipe/hose. Remove the AIR crossover pipe/hose.
