Removal (5.7L)

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the starter, if servicing the right side transmission cover only. See STARTERS - CAMARO & FIREBIRD article in STARTING & CHARGING SYSTEMS. See Fig 1.
  3. Remove the right side transmission cover bolt. See Fig 1.
  4. Remove the right side transmission cover.
  5. Remove the left side transmission cover bolt. See Fig 2.
  6. Remove the right side converter cover.
