Engine Mounts: Installation

- Install the left engine mount (2) and bolts (1) to the crossmember. See Figure. Tighten the left engine mount bolts (1) to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the right engine mount (2) and bolts (1) to the crossmember. See Figure. Tighten the right engine mount bolts (2) to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Lower the engine until the mount bracket and mount through holes line up together.
- Install the left engine mount through bolt (2). See Figure.
- Install the right engine mount through bolt (1). See Figure.
- Install the A/C compressor to the A/C compressor bracket. See COMPRESSOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in MANUAL A/C-HEATER SYSTEMS - CAMARO & FIREBIRD article in HVAC.
- Raise the vehicle.
- Install the transmission oil cooler line bracket and bolt. See Figure. Tighten the oil cooler pipe bracket to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the left side engine mount through bolt nut (1). See Figure. Tighten the engine mount through bolt nut (1) to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the right side engine mount through bolt nut (2). See Figure. Tighten the engine mount through bolt nut (2) to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the 3-way catalytic converter.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the engine support fixture.
- Install the ignition control module. See IGNITION CONTROL MODULE under IGNITION SYSTEMS in REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION - CAMARO & FIREBIRD article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
- Install the generator. See GENERATOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in GENERATORS & REGULATORS - CAMARO & FIREBIRD article in ELECTRICAL.
