Arming UTD System

  1. Close all doors. Turn ignition on. If SECURITY indicator light turns off when ignition is turned on, go to next step. If SECURITY indicator light does not turn off when ignition is turned on, see TEST A: SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT INOPERATIVE  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  2. Turn ignition off. Remove key from ignition switch. Open left or right door. If SECURITY indicator light flashes for 10 minutes, go to next step. If SECURITY indicator light does not flash for 10 minutes, see TEST A: SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT INOPERATIVE  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  3. Open left or right door. Use power door lock switch to lock doors. If SECURITY indicator light remains on, go to next step. If SECURITY indicator light does not remain on, see TEST A: SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT INOPERATIVE  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  4. Repeat steps  1 and  2 . Open left or right door. Use remote transmitter LOCK button to lock doors. If SECURITY indicator light remains on, go to next step. If SECURITY indicator light does not remain on, see TEST A: SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT INOPERATIVE  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  5. Close all doors. If SECURITY indicator light turns off after 10 seconds (system armed), see ACTIVATING UTD SYSTEM  . If SECURITY indicator light does not turn off after 10 seconds (system not armed), see TEST A: SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT INOPERATIVE  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
