Circuit Description

Ignition switch supplies ignition positive voltage (IGN1) to Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) at terminal A1 through AIR BAG fuse. When ignition switch is turned to RUN position, SDM responds by performing tests on SIR system while flashing AIR BAG warning light 7 times. If no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) exist, AIR BAG warning light should then turn off. If DTC's exist, AIR BAG warning light will stay on.
