Removal (5.7L)

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Raise and support vehicle. Remove the left catalytic converter. Remove the starter motor bolts. Lower the starter motor. Remove the wiring harness starter lead nut. Remove the wiring harness starter lead and washer.
  2. Remove the positive cable nut at starter solenoid. Remove the positive cable lead. Remove the starter motor. Disconnect CKP sensor harness connector. See Figure . Remove CKP sensor mounting bolt. Remove CKP sensor.
