Removal & Installation (5.7L)

NOTE:
On the 5.7L, the intake manifold must be removed to remove the CMP sensor. The intake manifold, throttle body, fuel injection rail, and fuel injectors may be removed as an assembly. If not servicing the individual components, remove the manifold as a complete assembly.
Turn ignition off. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove the intake manifold. See appropriate article in ENGINES. Disconnect CMP sensor connector. See Figure . Remove CMP sensor mounting bolt. Remove CMP sensor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten CMP sensor bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
