Removal & Installation (5.7L)

  1. Remove the vacuum line from the AIR pump shut off valve vacuum port. See Figure . Remove the AIR hoses from the AIR pump shut off valve inlet port and outlet ports. Loosen, but do not remove, the retaining bolt at the rear of the cylinder head for the AIR pump shut off valve bracket.
  2. Remove the retaining nut for the AIR pump shut off valve bracket. Remove the AIR pump shut off valve. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten AIR pump shut off valve bolt/nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
