Diagnostic Aids

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Saturn LW200, 2002 Saturn L200, and 2002 Saturn L100. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

If BCM/ECM/CRUISE/ABS fuse (10-amp) in underhood fuse block opens, engine will start, then stall and DTC P1632 will set.

If BCM fuse (15-amp) in underhood fuse block opens, engine will start, then stall. DTCs P1632, U1000 and/or U1064 will be set.

Attempting to start engine by substituting parts without performing PassLock(R) password learn procedure may set DTC P1631 or P1632.

If PCM receives an undecided password from BCM during engine crank, engine will start, then stall. If PCM receives a fuel disable password, engine will not start.

Passlock(R) sensor, BCM and PCM contain the same Passlock(R) codes. If any of these components are replaced, a relearn procedure must be performed.
