Check for O2S contamination due to fuel, improper use of RTV sealant, engine oil or coolant. Repair source of contamination before replacing sensor.

An intermittent connection or corrosion in HO2S1 connector can set this DTC. Use scan tool to monitor HO2S1 voltage with engine running at normal operating temperature while wiggling signal and ground wires. Make sure sensor is tight.
