Vehicle Speed Sensor: Removal

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Disconnect the vehicle speed sensor electrical connector. See Fig 1 . Remove the vehicle speed sensor bolt (2). See Fig 2 . Remove the vehicle speed sensor (1) and the O-ring seal (3). Use a suitable container in order to catch any transmission fluid that may spill. Inspect the transmission speed sensor for the following defects:
    • Cracks.
    • Nicks.
    • Damage.
