Filler Tube (3.8L): Installation

  1. Place the fill tube to the transmission through the engine compartment. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Install the seal and the fill tube to the transmission.
  2. Install the nut attaching the fill tube to the transmission. Tighten the fill tube nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Lower the vehicle. Check the transmission fluid level. Fill the transmission to the proper level with DEXRON-III(R) transmission fluid. See CHECKING FLUID LEVELS  under LUBRICATION.
