Throttle Body: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Firebird and 2002 Chevrolet Camaro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the throttle body with a NEW gasket. See Figure. Install the throttle body attaching bolts. Tighten the throttle body attaching bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Connect the coolant hose to the radiator. Connect the coolant hose.
  3. Connect the accelerator control cable to the throttle body lever. Connect the cruise control cable to the throttle body lever.
  4. Connect the crankcase ventilation hose to the throttle body. Connect the TP sensor and the IAC valve harness connectors. See Figure.
  5. Install the air intake duct. Connect the IAT sensor and the MAF sensor harness connectors. See Figure.
  6. Refill the cooling system. See DRAINING & FILLING COOLING SYSTEM . With the engine OFF, inspect to see that the accelerator pedal is free. Depress the accelerator pedal to the floor and release.
