Removal & Installation: Thermostat: Removal

  1. Open the radiator draincock. Partially drain the radiator. Close the draincock. Tighten drain cock to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp at the water pump. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the water pump inlet.
  2. Remove the water pump inlet bolts. Remove the water pump inlet. The "O" ring seal is integral to the thermostat housing. Remove the thermostat.
