Removal & Installation: Radiator: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Firebird and 2002 Chevrolet Camaro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the condenser to the radiator. Install the radiator and the condenser assembly to the vehicle. Install the fan shroud. See FAN SHROUD .
  2. Install the coolant recovery reservoir hose to the radiator. Install the condenser tube to the condenser. See Figure. Install the A/C condenser tube nut. Tighten the nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Install the lower transmission oil cooler line to the radiator. Install the upper transmission oil cooler line to the radiator. Tighten the upper oil cooler lines to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Install the evaporator tube to the condenser. Install the evaporator tube bolt. See Figure.
  5. Install the radiator outlet hose. Install the radiator inlet hose. See RADIATOR HOSES . Fill cooling system. See DRAINING & FILLING COOLING SYSTEM .
  6. Recharge the air conditioning system. See GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in HVAC.
