Removal & Installation: Flywheel: Installation

  1. Install the transmission flywheel to the crankshaft.
  2. Apply threadlock (GM P/N 12345382) to the threads of the flywheel bolts. Install the flywheel bolts. See Figure. Tighten the engine flywheel bolts in sequence to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . See Figure.
  3. Install the manual transmission, if applicable. See CLUTCHES article in MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS. Install the automatic transmission, if applicable. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - A/T article in AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS.
