Removal (Left Side)

  1. Remove the left valve rocker arm cover. See VALVE COVERS . Remove the spark plugs.
  2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Remove the left side catalytic converter. See CATALYTIC CONVERTER .
  3. Remove the exhaust manifold bolts. See Figure. Remove the exhaust manifold and gasket. Discard the gasket. Remove the heat shield bolts and heat shield from the manifold, if required.
