Engine Support Fixture

  1. Remove 2 strut mounting nuts from the left and right side strut towers.
  2. Screw the Engine Support Fixture Adapters (J-28467-90A), onto the strut tower studs.
  3. Set the Engine Support Adapters (J-41044), over the support fixture adapters on each strut tower. Secure with the wings nuts provided.
  4. Place the cross bar from the Universal Engine Support Fixture (J-28467-B), onto the engine support adapters.
  5. Secure with the quick release pins.
  6. Install the fixture support leg from Cross Bar (J-28467-3), through the Cross Bracket (J-28467-1A), on the top of the cross bar.
  7. Place the rubber padded foot of the Front Support (J-28467-4A), on the radiator support.
  8. Install the tube of the front support through the large hole in the Support Leg (J-28467-2A) until level.
  9. Install the quick release pin.
  10. Install the Support Leg (J-36462-A), through the cross bracket on the top of the cross bar.
  11. Bolt the lifting brackets to the cylinder heads.
  12. Thread Lift Hooks (J-28467-50 and J-28467-8 or J-28467-8A), into the Support Hook Brackets (J-28467-6A).
  13. Place the support hook brackets over the cross bar and connect the hooks to the lifting brackets.
  14. Tighten the large Wing Nuts (J-28467-34).
