Engine Compartment Fuel Line Replacement: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Relieve fuel system pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE .
  2. Clean all engine compartment connecting fuel pipe connections and surrounding areas before disconnecting in order to avoid possible contamination of the fuel system.
  3. Disconnect the engine compartment fuel feed pipe at the fuel rail. See Figure. Disconnect the engine compartment fuel feed pipe at the chassis fuel feed pipe.
  4. Cap the fuel pipes in order to prevent possible fuel system contamination.
