Oil Pump: Removal

  1. Remove the engine front cover. See FRONT COVER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove the engine oil pan. See OIL PAN  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Remove the oil pump screen bolt and nut. See Figure. Remove the oil pump screen and "O" ring seal. Remove the "O" ring seal from the pump screen. Discard the "O" ring seal.
  3. Remove the remaining crankshaft oil deflector nuts. Remove the crankshaft oil deflector. See Figure. Remove the oil pump bolts. See Figure. Remove the oil pump.
