Parking Brake

  1. Apply and release parking brake three times. Raise and support vehicle. Release parking brake completely. Remove rear tires. Remove rear brake rotors. See REAR B RAKE ROTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Position Brake Shoe Adjustment Gauge (J-21177A) onto widest point of brake rotor and tighten set screw. Turn adjusting screw until park brake shoe contacts adjustment gauge. Install rear brake rotors. See REAR BRAKE ROTOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Install tires.
  3. Set and release parking brake three times. Apply parking brake. Ensure wheels DO NOT rotate. With parking brake released, ensure wheels rotate forward.
