DTC B1349: Device Ground No. 1 (Chassis Ground No. 1) Circuit Open: Description

Body Control Module (BCM) ground circuits provide ground for 2 theater dimming systems for interior lamps, Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI) solenoid, BCM electronics and door locks. DTC B1349 is set when BCM detects that any of its ground circuits are greater than 4 volts for longer than 30 seconds. When DTC B1349 is set, interior lamps do not function correctly. Brake-transmission safety interlock may not function correctly. Door lock features may not operate correctly and BCM stores DTC B1349 in memory. Current DTC B1349 will clear and become a history DTC when BCM no longer detects fault. History DTC B1349 will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles if problem for malfunction is no longer present.
