Diagnostic Procedure

  1. If SIR Diagnostic System Check has been performed, go to next step. If SIR Diagnostic System Check has not been performed, go to SIR DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
  2. Install scan tool. Use scan tool to request SIR DTC display. If scan tool displays DTC B1001, go to next step.
  3. Turn ignition off. Replace SDM. See SENSING & DIAGNOSTIC MODULE (SDM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to next step.
  4. Reconnect all SIR components. Ensure that all components are properly mounted. Go to SIR DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
