Circuit Description

When ignition switch is turned to RUN position, SDM performs tests to diagnose critical internal malfunctions. SDM provides input power to SIS. SIS performs internal diagnostics, then sends an ID message to SDM. If SDM receives ID message within 5 seconds of SIS power up. SIS continually communicates a status message to SDM. SDM can reset SIS by removing and applying power to SIS.
