DTC B1000: Ecu Malfunction: Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Chevrolet Corvette. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

This fault is contained inside of the control module. No external circuits are used. DTC will set when control module detects an internal write or check sum error. When DTC sets, the microprocessor refuses all additional inputs. A current DTC will clear when microprocessor successfully writes to EEPROM. A history DTC will clear after 100 fault-free ignition cycles. DTC can also be cleared using Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) or scan tool.
