DTC B2002: Fore/Aft Seat Motor Open Or Shorted

- If power seats diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If power seats diagnostic system check has not been performed, go to POWER SEATS DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Disconnect driver's power seat adjuster motor connector C1. Using DVOM, check voltage between driver's power seat adjuster motor harness connector C1 terminals "A" (Tan wire) and "B" (Light Green wire). See Fig 1 . Move driver's power seat switch forward, and then backward. If reading is 10-14 volts in both directions, go to step 6 . If reading is not 10-14 volts in both directions, go to next step.
- Check for open, short to ground or short to voltage in Tan and Light Green wire(s) between driver's power seat adjuster motor connector C1 and Seat Control Module (SCM) connector C2 or C3. See Fig 2 . If faulty circuit is found and repaired, go to step 7 . If circuit is okay, go to step 5 .
- Replace seat adjuster motors. See SEAT ADJUSTER MOTORS under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to step 7 .
- Replace SCM. See LUMBAR PUMP/SEAT CONTROL MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to step 7 .
- Check driver's seat adjuster motor circuits for intermittents. If problem is found and repaired, go to next step. If circuits are okay, go to step 4 .
- Turn ignition off. Reconnect all disconnected components. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear all DTCs. Go to POWER SEATS DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
