Diagnostic Aids

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Chevrolet Corvette. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. The following conditions may cause intermittents:
    • Intermittent short to ground in Red/Dark Green or Light Green wires.
    • Folding top compartment lid release switch is shorted to ground or sticking.
    • Folding top compartment lid release switch is pressed for longer than 60 seconds.
  2. If Red/Dark Green or Light Green wires are shorted to ground with ignition on, folding top will release once and then become inoperative. If short occurred while ignition is off, folding top will release as soon as ignition is turned on and remain inoperative after that. Folding top will remain inoperative until BCM detects change in folding top compartment lid release circuit.
