DTC B2567: Folding Top Release Switch Circuit (Convertible): Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Chevrolet Corvette. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Folding top compartment lid release switch provides a ground input to the Body Control Module (BCM) when switch is depressed. This input is a folding top compartment lid release request signal. When request is sent, BCM will activate the TONN REL relay to allow operation of folding top.

BCM constantly monitors folding top compartment lid release circuit (Red/Dark Green and Light Green wires) and determines how long signal is present. If signal is present for longer than 60 seconds, BCM assumes there is a short to ground in Red/Dark Green or Light Green wires. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . BCM will then set DTC B2567 in memory. No driver warning messages will be displayed.

DTC B2567 will clear if a ground condition is not detected in Red/Dark Green or Light Green wires for longer than 60 seconds. History DTC will clear after 50 ignition cycles with no ground condition detected for longer than 60 seconds. DTCs can be manually cleared using scan tool or Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC).
