Installation Procedure

  1. Install the coolant recovery reservoir hose to the coolant recovery reservoir.
  2. Install the coolant recovery reservoir.

  3. Install the wiring harness rosebud clip to the coolant recovery reservoir neck.

    NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
  4. Install the coolant recovery reservoir bolt.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolt to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  5. Reposition the servo cable adjuster, if equipped with the 5.7L engine.
  6. Install the servo cable bolts, if equipped with the 5.7L engine.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  7. Install the coolant recovery reservoir hose to the radiator.

  8. Reposition the reservoir hose clamp to the radiator.
  9. Install the battery.
  10. Fill the coolant recovery reservoir to the FULL COLD mark.
